The Easel Program

Bids For Benefit was created as a new way for communities to work together and collectively raise money for deserving charities. We help charitable organizations, local establishments, and citizens to work hand in hand, to help those in need. At Bids For Benefit, we bring charity, business, and people together to help raise money through Sealed Bid Auctions.

• Establishments host a rotating collection of art and sports memorabilia.
• Generous customers submit bids, on location, for the artwork.
• The establishment gets increased traffic and helps a charity of their choice.
• The charity selected by the establishment receives 100% over the starting bid amount.

A Sealed Bid Auction, organized by Bids For Benefit, is an ideal way for businesses and other establishments to fundraise for a charity of their choice. There are no costs for the hosts associated with the auction and Bids For Benefit supplies all auction materials. We handle all the details, manage the auction, handle the presentation and delivery of the art, and oversee the completion of the purchases. The only cost to the host establishment is four square feet of floor space.

Bids For Benefit has raised thousands of dollars for many different charities, both large and small, for special projects or long-term initiatives. The simplicity of this program is what makes it successful, but bringing a community together to help those in need makes everyone a winner.
Sealed Bid Auctions, organized by Bids For Benefit, are effortless but rewarding ways for local establishments and organizations to raise money for charities of their choice.

It’s easier than you think. In a host’s space, a piece of art is put up for auction. Customers interested in owning the art submit bid amounts on pieces of paper on location by sealing their bid in an envelope and placing it in a box. There will be a minimum bid for each item in an auction. This will be the original cost for the item up for bid plus additional costs incurred in the process of readying it for auction. The highest bid wins the auction and the item is sold. Profit from the auction goes to a charity preselected by the location hosting the auction.

The auctions are an easy and straightforward process for both the hosts and the charities. Bids For Benefit takes care of all the details. We supply the artwork and a smart easel on which to display it. We provide the signage and Sealed Bid Auction materials, contact the winner, and manage the purchase and delivery details. Any other associated effort or costs are also our responsibility.

The four square feet of floor space, donated by the host establishment, will host a new piece of art every three weeks. Each piece of art is selected with the charity or the host establishment in mind. They are typically limited edition oil paintings or prints including works by the Group of Seven, selected photography, as well as sport and music inspired art. An employee from Bids For Benefit handles the replacement of each piece of art, and readies the space for the next two weeks of sealed bidding.

The original cost of the artwork, and other associated costs generate the minimum bid, while every cent surpassing the minimum goes directly to the chosen charity.

FROM OUR CLIENTS

Nottawasaga Foundation

I would like to personally thank you for all your efforts regarding our Nottawasaga Foundation’s 20th Anniversary Golf and Auction event. With your help and your skills as an auctioneer, you personally were able to help us generate $18,850.00 in our live auction on July 20, 2012.

You have been with us now for over 5 years and your total auctioning skills have raised over $90,000.00 for our Foundation. I look forward to working with you again in the future. Mark your calendar as next years date is Friday July 19/2013.

I will highly recommend you to any charity or event that wishes to raise money via auctioning and also recommend the quality of products that you bring with you to events such as these.
